The heavy use of Simcoe, Citra, and Idaho 7 hops bring forth notes of pine, ripe fruit, and citrus in the aroma and an initial candy sweetness on the tongue that fades to a dry finish.

In Wisconsin, Hunter helped to launch a brewery with a head brewer named Nate who had previously worked with a Carolina Brewery alum. Together the two developed a number of processes and techniques that influenced Hunter's school of thought and brewing practices. Recently, Hunter and his wife, Sarah, decided it was time to venture south from Wisconsin. He joined the Carolina Brewery team as lead brewer in May. Hunter has worked with our own Nate to develop a Double IPA that is symbolic of both the melding of their two worlds and the web of connections the two shared before meeting.
