Carolina Brewery Joins with North Carolina Coastal Federation
Charity Partners Program Extends Hospitality and Community Investment
CHAPEL HILL and PITTSBORO, N.C. – The Carolina Brewery and Brewpubs recently donated nearly $5,500 to charity partner North Carolina Coastal Federation.
“We are thrilled to be a partner with Carolina Brewery, a renowned brewery in our state whose practices perfectly align with our mission,” said Catherine Snead, business engagement director for the federation. “Giving back is what it's all about, and while many companies talk about this, Carolina Brewery demonstrates this mindset all year long. We look forward to a long, productive partnership with this fun, progressive brewery.”
The donation captured a portion of food sales and patron donations made during the month of November. Jason Gilbert and Tara Brand, general managers at the Carolina Brewery Pittsboro and Chapel Hill brewpubs, oversaw the charity partners program in their respective locations. “The customer experience, emphasizing superlative customer service, is foundational to everything we do,” said Gilbert. “Expanding that concept to include community service and team support is one more reason why I love what we do.”
Last year, SquareOne, the holding company managing Carolina Brewery, launched the SquareUp Foundation. The action effectively put an exclamation mark on their commitment to the communities and stakeholders where SquareOne has operations. “Carolina Brewery, the holding company and foundation have core values that recognize collective success is found in the will and ability to support and invest in others,” said Robert Poitras, founder of Carolina Brewery. “Our vulnerable families and neighbors, as well as fragile ecosystems, need our support.”
Poitras added that the spirit of care and hospitality is exemplified in every initiative of the North Carolina Coastal Federation. “We are humbled by their work and will continue to be a frontline advocate for their activities.”
